The Soccer Pitch is one of the most contested drop spots in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3, and for good reason. It holds the only guaranteed Striker Sprite spawn on the entire map, and every player who knows about it races there at the start of a match. Knowing the exact location and what to do once you land gives you a real edge over players who are still looking around trying to figure out where the field even is.
Soccer Pitch Location in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3
The Soccer Pitch sits in the southwestern corner of the Chapter 7 Season 3 map, southeast of Heatwave Harbor and right beside The Quackaway landmark. Epic Games added it in the 41.10 update as part of the game’s FIFA World Cup celebration.
The pitch does not carry a text label on the mini-map, which causes a lot of players to miss it during the drop. The easiest way to spot it is to open the full map and look for a large blue rectangle in the southwest quadrant. The field uses blue turf instead of the standard green, so it stands out clearly when you are gliding in from the Battle Bus. Mark the location before you jump and use The Quackaway as a visual landmark when you get close.
How to Get the Striker Sprite at the Soccer Pitch
Getting the Striker Sprite at the Soccer Pitch follows a simple process, but speed is everything since only one player per match can claim the guaranteed drop.
- Drop directly onto the Soccer Pitch as early as possible. The Striker Sprite goes to whoever scores first, so landing fast matters more here than at almost any other POI.
- Find the soccer ball near center field, close to the Extraction Site. Someone may have already kicked it away from its starting position, so scan the pitch quickly if it is not sitting right at the center.
- Run into the ball to kick it toward either goal. Line up directly behind it and move straight forward so it travels in a clean line. There are two goals on the field, so aim for whichever one is closer or better angled from your position.
- Push the ball across the goal line. A whistle sound confirms the score, and the ball immediately transforms into the Striker Sprite on the ground for you to pick up.
Each player can only score one goal to claim the Sprite. Attempting multiple goals does nothing, so grab it and move on to looting or extracting.
What the Striker Sprite Does
The Striker Sprite gives you an automatic Overdrive effect every time you mantle, hurdle, or wall scramble. Because it triggers from movement actions you perform naturally during fights and rotations, it activates constantly without requiring any setup or timing on your part.
Overdrive accelerates your movement burst, which makes the Striker Sprite strong for closing gaps on opponents, breaking contact from a bad angle, and executing fast rotations as the storm closes. Players who secure it early in a match carry a meaningful mobility advantage through the mid-game and into late circles.
Other Loot at the Soccer Pitch
Beyond the Striker Sprite, the Soccer Pitch offers enough supporting loot to make it a worthwhile landing spot even if another player beats you to the goal.
The POI carries a solid spread of standard chests and ammo boxes scattered across the field and surrounding area. An Extraction Site sits at center field, letting you extract the Striker Sprite immediately after scoring or purchase a Portable Extractor to use later in the match. Picking up extra chest loot at the pitch can also level up your Striker Sprite if you plan to invest in mastering it during the game.
If the field is heavily contested when you land, consider rotating to the Soccer Pitch later in the match once the initial chaos dies down. The Striker Sprite guaranteed spawn will be gone, but the chests, ammo boxes, and Extraction Site still make it a productive stop during mid-game rotations.
