ARC Raiders is moving ahead with its second major progression reset, and this time, the rewards are far more generous. Developer Embark Studios has officially confirmed Expedition 2, giving players another optional character wipe paired with long-term upgrades that carry forward into future playthroughs.
Expedition 2 Schedule Is Now Locked
Embark has finalized the timeline for Expedition 2. Players can opt in starting February 25, with the departure window closing on March 1. Once the window ends, participating players begin again with a fresh Raider while working toward permanent progression bonuses.
Expeditions remain optional. Players who choose not to reset can continue playing without interruption, while those who do reset gain stacking long-term benefits.
Permanent Rewards That Carry Forward
Completing Expedition 2 unlocks upgrades that remain active across future Expeditions and normal play.
Permanent cosmetics include:
- An evolved Patchwork outfit with expanded customization
- New Scrappy cosmetics
- An Expedition Indicator icon that upgrades with each completed Expedition
Permanent gameplay bonuses include:
- Stash space expanded from 12 to 24 slots
- Up to 5 Skill Points earned during Expedition 2
- A possible total of 85 Skill Points for players completing their second Expedition
Stacking Bonuses for Repeat Expeditions
Players who take part in consecutive Expeditions receive improved bonuses that stack over time.
- XP boost increased from 5% to 10%
- Scrappy materials boost increased from 6% to 12%
- Repair value increased from 60% to 70%
These boosts reset only if a player skips a future Expedition.
Easier Skill Point Catch-Up for Returning Players
Embark has addressed one of the biggest complaints from the first Expedition: steep Skill Point requirements. Players who missed Skill Points during Expedition 1 can now reclaim them at a much lower cost.

Returning players can earn missed Skill Points at 300,000 Stash Value per point, down from the previous 1 million per point requirement. Coins earned during Expedition 2 apply first to new rewards, then to missed points from the first Expedition.
What the Wipe Does Not Affect
Several core progression systems remain untouched by Expedition resets:
- All cosmetics
- Raider Deck progress
- Unlocked map regions
- Leaderboard positions
- Trials and Codex entries
- Raider Tokens
- Trophy Display Project
Embark also confirmed that a recent issue preventing map conditions from appearing in-game has already been fixed.
