If you think you’ve mastered ghost hunting in Phasmophobia, the Weekly Challenge Mode is your true test of skill. These limited-time trials mix up gameplay rules every week, changing how you hunt, what gear you can use, and how the ghosts behave. The goal is simple: identify the ghost three times on the designated map—but the path to victory is anything but easy.

Challenge Mode was introduced in update 0.8.1.0 as a rotating set of curated custom difficulties designed by the developers. Each challenge alters multiple gameplay parameters such as sanity, ghost speed, and available items, creating unique scenarios each week.
Unlike regular hunts, you can’t bring your own gear—everything is pre-supplied. That means dying doesn’t cost any of your personal equipment or funds, making this an ideal way to experiment with strategies.
Successfully completing a weekly challenge earns you $5,000 and 5,000 XP, a significant reward that makes it one of the fastest ways to progress in the game. However, only contracts completed on the specific featured map count toward the weekly completion.
This Week’s Challenge (Nov. 2–9, 2025): No Evidence
For the week of November 2–9, 2025, the active challenge is No Evidence—one of the toughest scenarios Phasmophobia has ever offered.

In this mode, you’ll be dropped into Grafton Farmhouse with no direct ghost evidence to rely on, forcing you to identify the entity using only indirect behavior cues.
Key Parameters
- Map: Grafton Farmhouse
- Evidence: None (No EMF Level 5, Spirit Box, or Ghost Orbs)
- Starting Sanity: 100%
- Sanity Drain Speed: 200%
- Sanity Restoration: 25%
- Setup Time: None
- Fuse Box: Off and not marked on the map
- Cursed Possession: Haunted Mirror
- Weather: Random
- Equipment: All Tier II gear
The lack of evidence and rapid sanity drain make this a mentally taxing challenge. You’ll need to pay close attention to ghost behaviors, movement speed, and hunt patterns to succeed.
How to Complete the Weekly Challenge
To finish the challenge, you must correctly identify the ghost type three times on the week’s featured map. You can replay the challenge as many times as you wish, but only successful identifications count toward the total. You don’t even have to survive—correctly guessing the ghost before leaving is enough to earn completion credit.
Pro Tips for the No Evidence Challenge
Here are some strategies to make this brutal challenge more manageable:
1. Study the Map Layout
The reworked Grafton Farmhouse can feel disorienting if you haven’t explored it recently. Play a custom match with the friendly ghost option first to learn hiding spots, room connections, and ghost spawn locations.
2. Stack Equipment at the Entrance
Bring all provided gear to the front door before investigating. It saves precious time later when hunts begin unexpectedly.
3. Track Unofficial Evidence
Without standard evidence, you’ll need to observe ghost behaviors:
- The Mimic: Shows fake Ghost Orbs.
- The Wraith: Refuses to leave footprints in salt.
- The Phantom: Doesn’t appear in photos.
- The Jinn: Causes EMF spikes near the breaker.
These small signs can help you narrow down the ghost type quickly.
4. Protect Yourself Early
Since there’s no setup time, hunts can begin almost immediately. Drop Crucifixes and light Incense near the ghost room as soon as you find it to prevent early deaths.
5. Use Sensors to Locate Activity
If you’re struggling to find the ghost, use Sound Sensors and Motion Sensors throughout the farmhouse, then monitor readings from the truck.
6. Team Up
Playing with friends significantly boosts your survival odds. Divide tasks—one handles sensors, another tracks ghost activity—so you can cover more ground efficiently.
7. Keep Trying
You don’t lose money or gear in challenges, so failure is free experience. Use each attempt to learn ghost tendencies and improve your deduction.
8. Always Make an Educated Guess
Even if you’re unsure, make a guess before ending the contract. Each guess helps you refine your pattern recognition for the next run.
When Does the Weekly Challenge Reset?
Weekly challenges rotate every Monday at 12 AM UTC (Sunday 7 PM CT). You’ll have a full week to complete each challenge before the next one replaces it. Missed it? Don’t worry—every challenge eventually returns in rotation.
After No Evidence ends, the next challenge (Nov. 9–16, 2025) will be The Apocalypse Draws Near, one of the hardest modes yet. It’s set on Sunny Meadows Restricted with Apocalypse Level 3 difficulty, featuring fast ghosts, zero sanity, and every hazard imaginable. Prepare accordingly.
