The world of Hell Is Us isn’t just about survival and combat. It also weaves in deeply human side stories known as Good Deeds. One of the most memorable among them is the Family Feud quest. This guide covers everything you need to know: how to start it, where to find the urn, and the rewards you’ll gain for seeing it through.
How to Start the Family Feud Quest
You’ll first encounter this Good Deed in Jeljin, a location filled with crypts and mausoleums.
- Look for Edwyn Tosan, who is hiding among the ruins.
- He tells you about his father’s ashes, which should be placed in the columbarium at Jeljin. Unfortunately, the ashes remain with his estranged brother in Marastan, and Edwyn refuses to deal with him directly.
Although Edwyn doesn’t formally ask for your help, you can choose to step in. This sets you on the path of Family Feud.
Step 1: Finding the Urn
To retrieve the ashes, you’ll need to travel to Marastan. This town becomes available after completing earlier objectives, so progress the main storyline if it’s still locked.
- Head to the house behind Keol & Sons.
- Use the ladder near the car parked in the garage to climb to the second floor.
- Inside, you’ll find the Urn on top of a cabinet, along with a letter from Edwyn’s brother.
Collecting the urn automatically triggers the Good Deed.
Step 2: Returning to Edwyn
With the urn in hand, return to Jeljin and meet Edwyn once again.
- Hand him the urn. He expresses relief but won’t take the final step himself.
- The urn will now appear on the bench next to Edwyn, along with the Key – Columbarium.
This indicates that it’s up to you to complete the burial.
Step 3: Placing the Urn in the Mausoleum
The columbarium is located not far from where you met Edwyn.
- Travel south from the chapel area toward the archaeology camp.
- Pass through the broken fence and continue until you spot a small mausoleum. An enemy may be inside, so be prepared.
- Use the Key – Columbarium to unlock the resting place and set the urn inside.
Once placed, the urn is secured, and the Family Feud quest concludes.
Rewards for Completing Family Feud
Completing this Good Deed not only helps bring closure to Edwyn’s family but also nets you valuable rewards. By returning to Gildas Brom at the Watcher’s Nest, you’ll receive:
- Greatsword of Grief – A unique weapon.
- Glyph – Lymbic Mending (Enhanced) – A powerful enhancement for your build.
