How to Redeem Mystery Gift Codes
To claim your rewards in-game, follow these steps:
- Reach the first Pokémon Center in Los Platos (takes ~1–1.5 hours of gameplay).
- Press X to open your main menu.
- Navigate to the Poké Portal on the right.
- Scroll down and select Mystery Gift.
- Choose one of the two claiming methods:
- Get with Code/Password – For typed-in gift codes.
- Get via Internet – For global events or distributed gifts.
- Follow on-screen prompts and wait for the gift to download.
- Save your game to secure the gift.
Pokémon will go to your party or storage boxes. Items go directly into your Bag.
Important Tips
- Nintendo Switch Online membership is NOT required to redeem any Mystery Gifts.
- Each code is one-time use per save file and cannot be reused or stacked.
- Gifts downloaded via Internet (without a code) will show up in the list—you’ll need to redeem each one individually.
No Free Pokémon Right Now
At the time of writing, no free Pokémon are currently available via Mystery Gift codes. However, earlier events included:
