Anomaly Commission S-Rank Arcs
These six Arcs come from completing Anomaly Commissions across Hethereau. Each one ends with a boss fight, and the Arc drops once you clear it.
Raging Flames
Effect: Increases the wearer’s Lakshana DMG by 15%. After casting an Ultimate, the wearer’s Redirect Skill and Ultimate deal 10% more damage for 10 seconds. Redirect Skill damage also increases by 5% per cast while active, up to 2 stacks.
To get Raging Flames, open the Anomaly Commission tab and select “Ride Assault” in Bridge Crossings. Defeat the Headless Rider boss at the end of the commission to claim the Arc. Raging Flames also triggers a Ghost Rider bike effect, making it one of the more visually rewarding free weapons.
Blow up the Crowd
Effect: Increases active character ATK by 10% while the wearer is off-field, and by 2% whenever the wearer deals damage, up to 4 stacks. Also increases Psyche DMG by 12% while the wearer is active, with an additional 2% per Basic Attack Psyche DMG hit, up to 10 stacks.
Head to Illusion Town and clear the “Rhythm Master” Anomaly Commission. The Beat King boss guards this Arc. Defeat him near the Security Office in the Crane Path Branch area to collect Blow up the Crowd.
Song of the Whale
Effect: Increases ATK by 12%, boosts damage to Broken enemies by 12%, and restores 30% HP to the wearer when a Broken enemy dies, up to once every 30 seconds.
Open the Anomaly Commission tab and find “Deep Blue Sorrow” in the New Herland District. Defeat the Sea Prisoner boss at the end of the commission. Song of the Whale pairs especially well with characters built around the Break mechanic.
Tears Beneath the Mask
Effect: The wearer’s Ultimate applies Warning Gaze to enemies on hit. Marked enemies deal 18% reduced damage for 20 seconds, and this effect does not stack.
Clear the “Call of the Lost” Anomaly Commission in the New Herland District. Defeat the Nestbound Bird boss to receive this Arc. The damage-reduction passive makes Tears Beneath the Mask a solid defensive option for harder content.
Youthful Fantasy
Effect: Increases Break Intensity by 60. Unlocks Arc: Black Tome. Two chains seal it by default. Each Support Skill cast by any team member removes one chain. Once both chains break, Black Tome becomes active and designates an enemy every 5 seconds, increasing the wearer’s Chaos DMG to that target by 20% and dealing Chaos DMG equal to 2% ATK when the designated target takes Break damage.
Find “The Book of Post-Adolescence” in the New Herland District under Anomaly Commissions. Defeat the Black Tome boss to earn Youthful Fantasy.
Reality Refuge
Effect: Increases Anima DMG by 15% and the wearer’s Attachment DMG by 10%. After casting an Ultimate, Attachment DMG increases to 20% for 6 seconds. This bonus does not stack.
Complete the “Let’s Go See a Movie” Anomaly Commission in the New Herland District. Defeat the Swallowtail boss to finish the commission, then pick up the item it drops.
Weekly Boss S-Rank Arcs
Three Arcs come from defeating weekly bosses in single-player mode. You need to clear specific Spinoff quests or main story content first to unlock each challenge.
Camellia Society
Effect: Increases CRIT DMG by 12% for 5 seconds each time the wearer’s HP drops without taking direct damage, up to 4 stacks. Unlocks Arc: Silent Garden, which consumes 5% of current HP every 25 seconds and randomly launches either Harsh Rebuke (5 hits of Incantation DMG at 24% ATK) or Incessant Nagging (6 hits of Incantation DMG at 18% ATK, with the final hit dealing double damage).
Complete the “Where Words Sprout” and “Fall Unfolds” Spinoff quests. Once done, travel to Serenetti Manor and defeat the tree-like boss Serenetti in single-player mode to unlock Camellia Society.
Good Boy’s Grand Adventure
Effect: Increases Charge Efficiency by 18%. After the wearer casts an Ultimate, team ATK increases by 10% for 20 seconds. If the Ultimate controls enemies, team ATK gets an additional 6% boost. Effects with the same name do not stack.
Finish the “Pawn Moonlight” Spinoff quests. Then open the Exploration Guide, go to the Anomaly Pilgrimage tab, and select the Morphix weekly boss challenge. Defeat Morphix in single-player mode to earn this Arc.
Eternal Waltz
Effect: Increases Max HP by 20% and Mental DMG dealt by 10% for 10 seconds after the wearer casts an Ultimate.
First, complete the “Deal? Deal!” main quest. Then open the Exploration Guide and navigate to the Anomaly Pilgrimage section. Select “The Never-ending Arachne” challenge and defeat the boss in single-player mode once to receive Eternal Waltz.
Other Free S-Rank Arcs
Day Off (Hidden Task)
Effect: Increases the wearer’s ATK by 30%. Unlocks Arc: Eclipse, which creates a 40-second Eclipse zone. During Eclipse, each enemy defeated restores 6 Ultimate Energy to the wearer, up to 5 times, with a 300-second cooldown.
Day Off belongs to Esper Zero, the main character, making it their signature free S-Rank weapon. To get it, you need to find and interact with the Eclipse NPC six times. Eclipse spawns at different locations around Hethereau each time, so this one takes some effort. See the full Day Off Arc guide for every spawn location and the complete interaction steps.
Stellar Veil (Login Event)
Effect: Increases the wearer’s Psyche DMG by 12% and CRIT DMG by 2% for 5 seconds each time they deal Psyche DMG, up to 10 stacks and triggering at most once every 0.1 seconds.
Stellar Veil is the simplest free S-Rank Arc to grab. Log into NTE on Day 10 of the Beginner Login Event and collect it from your login gift rewards. No quest or boss fight required.
Contemplative Cat (City Tycoon Level)
Effect: Increases Cosmos DMG by 2.5% for every 100,000 Fons the wearer holds, up to 10 stacks.
Reach City Tycoon Level 21 to unlock Contemplative Cat as a level reward. Leveling Tycoon beyond 21 also rewards additional copies of the Arc, which you can use for Mixing.
Your Happiness is Priceless (Arc Shop)
Effect: Increases HP by 24%. When the wearer casts an Ultimate, one of three random effects triggers: restores 20% Max HP to the lowest-HP team member, grants a shield equal to 20% of the wearer’s Max HP for 15 seconds, or restores 10% HP to all team members. Triggers once every 30 seconds.
Collect Mhm! Coins from Nacupeda’s Pool. You can earn these coins by selecting “Make a Sincere Wish” at the pool once per day. Nacupeda’s Pool sits near Davidia Avenue in the southwest part of Illusion Town. Once you have 100 coins, go to Mall > Arc Shop > Arc Exchange to purchase the Arc.
Hethereau’s Keeper (Maximum Wanted Level)
Effect: Increases ATK by 15% and damage dealt to bosses by 15%. Unlocks Arc: Officer Whisker, which summons Officer Whisker to fight alongside you for 30 seconds. Officer Whisker continuously attacks enemies for 1% of the wearer’s ATK per hit, with a 60-second cooldown.
Raise your Wanted Level to the maximum five stars. A high-level Justice Executioner police boss will appear. Defeat the boss, then visit the Security Office to claim Hethereau’s Keeper. This is the hardest free Arc to obtain due to the significant level gap between the Justice Executioner and typical player characters.
Getting Duplicates for Mixing
Reaching maximum Mixing level on a free Arc makes it significantly stronger. You have two main ways to get extra copies.
Arc Selection Shop: Go to Mall > Arc Shop > Arc Selection. Spend 25 Tri-Keys per copy and pick up to four extra copies of the following Arcs:
- Blow up the Crowd
- Day Off
- Tears Beneath the Mask
- Eternal Waltz
- Song of the Whale
You can also buy one copy per month this way using 25 Tri-Keys.
Arc Weapon Banner: These five Arcs appear on the Arc weapon banner, so pulling on it can yield extra copies:
- Reality Refuge
- Youthful Fantasy
- Good Boy’s Grand Adventure
- Camellia Society
- Raging Flames
Tri-Keys come from the Hunter Exchange and from events, so stock up whenever they appear. Prioritize Mixing on the Arcs you use most in combat, since the stat gains at higher Mixing levels are substantial. Play Now!
