Quests are the most efficient way to level up in Sailor Piece. Rather than grinding random enemies across islands, following the quest NPC chain gives you consistent XP, Gold, and Gems for every kill. The system runs from Level 0 all the way past Level 18,000, covering both Sea 1 and Sea 2 content. This guide covers every quest NPC, their exact locations, level requirements, and rewards, plus all special quests that unlock major upgrades and new islands.

How the Sailor Piece Quest System Works
Quest NPCs appear on every major island in Sailor Piece, each tied to a specific level range. You need to fall within that range to accept the quest. Once you exceed the upper limit, the NPC stops giving you quests and you move on to the next one.
A few key rules to know going in:
- Gems only enter the reward pool from Quest NPC 5 onward. The first four quests reward Gold and XP only.
- Item drops begin appearing alongside standard rewards from Quest NPC 6 onward.
- Boss quests always follow hunter quests in the same area. Finish the regular enemy quest first, then the boss quest unlocks in the same zone.
If you want to squeeze more value from every quest session, read the Sailor Piece Best Luck Build guide before you start grinding. Higher Luck increases drop rates from enemies and bosses across every zone.

Sea 2 Quests (Levels 12,750 to 99,999)
The Huge Update on May 11, 2026 expanded the quest chain into Sea 2 with six new NPCs. Before these quests become available, you need to complete the Sea Traveller special quest to unlock Sea 2 access. The full unlock process is covered in the Sea 2 Quest Guide.

All Special Quests in Sailor Piece
Special quests don’t hand out XP for leveling. They unlock weapons, areas, races, and fighting styles that define the endgame. Below is every special quest currently available.
Demonite Core Quest
- Location: Academy Island, right of spawn outside the castle
- Objective: Collect 2 Demonite Fragments
- Reward: Calamity Seal
This quest unlocks Calamity Seal drops from NPCs across the game. Prioritize this quest as early as you can reach Academy Island. Unlocking Calamity Seal drops opens additional farming routes and speeds up your overall progression, particularly when you start chasing late-game items like the Corrupt Crown and Limitless Ring.
Hogyoku Fragments Quest
- Location: Hollow Island, at the very end of the island behind the Manipulator boss
- Objective: Collect all 6 Hogyoku Fragments
- Reward: Unlocks Soul Society Island
You need to be at least Level 8,500 and speak to the Gin NPC on Hollow Island to start this quest. The full Hogyoku Quest Guide covers each fragment location in order. After you turn in all six fragments, a Hogyoku Portal appears and grants you access to Soul Society for the first time. Completing this quest permanently adds Soul Society Island to your teleport menu, giving you access to high-level enemies, special NPCs, and rare loot.
Worthiness Fragment (Aizen Quest)
- Location: Hollow Island, at the opposite end from the Hogyoku quest NPC
- Objective: Collect the Worthiness Fragment
- Reward: Aizen Sword + Aizen Specialization
The Worthiness Fragment drops from Level 5,500+ Hollow enemies on Hollow Island and other high-level Bleach-themed zones. Once you have it, bring it to the Aizen Trainer NPC as part of the training quest chain. The test carries a 25% success rate, which means the fragment gets destroyed on failure and you need to farm another one. Factor in that RNG before committing to the quest. A higher Luck build improves how quickly you can farm replacement fragments between attempts.
Sea Traveller
- Location: World Island Sea 2, beside the massive tree
- Objective: Collect Ancient Fragments and Map Pieces
- Reward: Unlocks Sea 2
This is the gate quest for all Sea 2 content. Without completing the Sea Traveller quest, you cannot access Sea 2 islands or quest NPCs 20 through 25. Every piece of Sea 2 content, from new bosses to updated bloodlines and relics like the Tempest Relic, sits behind this unlock.
Empyrean Trainer
- Location: Blue Planet, right of spawn at the top of the hill
- Objective: Consume Spirit Stones, obtain the Empyrean bloodline, and complete additional follow-up quests
- Reward: Spirit Warrior Melee Fighting Style
The Empyrean Trainer quest chain unlocks the Spirit Warrior fighting style, one of the stronger melee options in Sea 2. The bloodline requirement makes this a multi-step process, so plan it alongside your Sea 2 leveling rather than treating it as a standalone task.
Celestial Guide
- Location: Blue Planet, bottom of the hill on the right of spawn
- Objective: Obtain several Secret-rarity items, locate 4 halos across the map, and collect 3 more halos from boss drops
- Reward: Archangel Race
The Celestial Guide quest rewards you with the Archangel Race, one of the strongest Secret-rarity races in Sailor Piece and a top pick for both farming and combat builds. The halo requirements involve both exploration and targeted boss farming, making this one of the longer special quests to complete. Check the dedicated Archangel Race guide for each halo location and Divine Trial step.
Soul Harvester
- Location: Blue Planet, bottom of the hill on the right of spawn
- Objective: Defeat 1,500 NPCs, several Sea 2 bosses, 10 Krakens, and complete 10 raids
- Reward: Reaper Race
The Soul Harvester quest unlocks the Reaper Race, a powerful Secret-rarity race that evolves from the Mythical tier. The Kraken and raid requirements make this the most time-intensive special quest in the game. Among the Sea 2 boss requirements, fights like Gilgamesh demand proper gear and builds to clear reliably. Stack your Luck stat before starting the kill grind to improve overall drop efficiency across all boss objectives.
Mastery NPCs in Sailor Piece
Mastery NPCs form a completely separate system from the standard quest chain. These NPCs let you boost your sword’s damage by completing a series of weapon-specific quests. You need the matching sword equipped before you can accept any mastery quest from a given NPC.
The Atomic Sword has its own mastery line that unlocks the F Move, one of the stronger endgame abilities for sword users. Late-game options like Sun God also carry mastery lines that significantly increase their output once you complete the associated quest chain.
Focus on one mastery line at a time rather than switching between weapons mid-progress. Finishing a full mastery chain delivers a larger damage payoff than splitting your progress across multiple swords.
Tips to Complete Quests Faster
- Accept the quest before you start killing: Enemy kills only count toward a quest once you have accepted it. Any kills you land before accepting count for nothing.
- Use the compass to navigate: The compass button in the top-left corner of the screen points you toward the next quest NPC automatically. Use it after completing each quest instead of wandering between islands.
- Prioritize the Demonite Core Quest: Complete it as soon as you reach Academy Island. Unlocking Calamity Seal drops early creates more farming pathways throughout mid and late-game progression.
- Don’t delay the Hogyoku quest: Soul Society Island holds high-level enemies and rare loot. Completing the Hogyoku Fragment quest before you hit Level 10,750 means you can start farming it immediately once you arrive at the Quincy Quest zone.
- Run Ascension alongside your quest grind: The Ascension system delivers powerful stat bonuses at each milestone. Knocking out Ascension requirements while you work through the quest chain cuts down on repetitive farming later.
- Choose the right build for each stage: Check the Sailor Piece Tier List before committing to a loadout. The tier list covers best fruits, swords, races, and traits so you know which items to target from quest rewards and boss drops at every progression stage.
- Farm Crystal Keys when grinding late-game zones: Crystal Keys drop in late-game areas and unlock the Crystal Defense game mode on Punch Island. Running quests in those zones gives you a chance to pick them up passively without breaking your leveling rhythm. Play Now!
