Sony is reportedly working on a new flagship smartphone that will feature a large sensor 6x camera, according to a latest rumor surfaced online.

A rumor suggests that Sony’s Xperia 1 VI may debut at MWC 2024, featuring a 6x large-sensor camera. This smartphone could be one of the first to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, competing with rivals like Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Ultra and Xiaomi’s 14 Pro.
The 6x zoom camera might offer a 140mm focal length, surpassing the 125mm typical of most 5x zoom phones, and include Sony’s Clear Image Zoom for minimal quality loss during digital zooming. However, as this remains unconfirmed, we await official word from Sony.
The Sony Xperia 1 VI would also have other features that are typical of Sony’s flagship phones, such as a 4K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a stereo speaker system, a dedicated shutter button, and a water-resistant design . The phone would also run on Android 13 with Sony’s custom UI and offer support for wireless charging and reverse wireless charging .
However, this is still an unconfirmed rumor and Sony has not officially announced any details about the Xperia 1 VI yet. The MWC 2024 is scheduled to take place from February 26 to March 1, so we might get some more clues about the phone in the coming months. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
