The Voidfire Deathcycle is a secret mount introduced in World of Warcraft Patch 11.1.5. Styled like a purple fel-themed motorcycle, it’s a unique collectible from the Revisited Horrific Visions of Stormwind and Orgrimmar. Unlike most mounts, it cannot be bought or earned through a simple drop—it requires players to interact with multiple game systems, loot special chests, and use profession-crafted items to build it from scratch.

How to Unlock the Voidfire Deathcycle Frame
Before you can collect any mount parts, you must first obtain the mount frame. This is the essential starting point that triggers the rest of the questline.
- Enter the Horrific Vision of Stormwind with at least one Faceless Mask active. This increases the vision’s difficulty but is required for loot to drop.
- Head to the Dwarven District. There, you’ll find an elite enemy, Haymar the Devout, riding the Voidfire Deathcycle.
/way #2404 62.0 30.4 Haymar the Devout
- Attack the visible motorcycle first to spawn Haymar. Once you defeat him, a faint, ghostly version of the bike appears nearby.
- Interact with the ghostly Deathcycle to send it to Dornogal, which is the Horrific Visions hub area. This sets the foundation for building your mount.
You won’t be able to collect or assemble any parts until this step is complete.
Deathcycle Assembly: The Six Essential Parts
To assemble the Voidfire Deathcycle, you must gather and install six different parts:
- Engine
- Exhaust System
- Handlebars
- Battery (Void Crystal)
- Seat
- Two Wheels
Each part requires a specific item drop from a Horrific Vision zone and multiple crafted materials. Most crafted items must be of Rank 3 quality, except for the Irresistible Red Button, which does not require Rank 3.
Also note: You must complete both Stormwind and Orgrimmar visions, as some components are unique to each city. Visions rotate weekly, so allow at least two resets to gather all necessary items.
Let’s go through each part in the order most players follow.
Part 1: Void-Forged Inline Four Engine
The engine comes from the Orgrimmar vision and is necessary for powering the Deathcycle.
Where to find the engine block:
- Enter the Horrific Vision of Orgrimmar.
- Go to The Drag, a side zone in the city.
- Inside the engineering shop, loot the Void-Forged Engine Block from a container.
/way #2403 56.9 56.8 Void-Forged Engine Block
Additional materials required:
- 4x Goblin-Machined Piston – Purchased from Big Keech in Vale of Eternal Blossoms.
- Optional: Buy the Elementium-Plated Exhaust Pipe now as it’s needed in the next step.
Once collected, combine the Engine Block and Pistons to create the Void-Forged Inline Four Engine.
Return to Dornogal and interact with the mount frame to install it.
Part 2: Deathcycle Exhaust System
The exhaust system determines how the bike channels fel energy, and it’s built using parts found in Stormwind’s vision.
Where to find the Magic-Lined Manifold:
- Enter the Horrific Vision of Stormwind.
- Navigate to the Trade District and look just outside the Auction House.
- Loot the Magic-Lined Manifold from a ground crate.
/way #2404 61.6 72.8 Magic-Lined Manifold
Additional materials required:
- 1x Elementium-Plated Exhaust Pipe – Same one mentioned earlier.
- 4x Goblin-Machined Pistons – If you didn’t buy extras, return to Big Keech.
Combine these materials to create the Deathcycle Exhaust System. Return to Dornogal and install the part.
Part 3: Skull-Scythe Handlebars
This is one of the most intricate components due to the number of materials needed and its unique look.
Where to find the base handlebars:
- Complete the Old Town objective in the Horrific Vision of Stormwind.
- After defeating the area’s enemies and completing the zone, open Valeera’s Chest to receive Twisted Skull-Scythe Handlebars.
Crafted materials (must be Rank 3 quality):
- 1x Irresistible Red Button – Crafted by Engineers only. Requires Pile of Rusted Scrap, which is BoP (Bind on Pickup). Non-engineers must use a public or personal crafting order.
- 1x Recalibrated Safety Switch – Engineering item, purchasable from AH.
- 3x Whimsical Wiring – Also Engineering.
- 1x Storm-Touched Weapon Wrap – Crafted via Leatherworking or bought on the AH.
Once you gather all components, combine them to form the Skull-Scythe Handlebars, then install them in Dornogal.
Part 4: Pulsing Void Crystal (Battery)
The mount’s energy source is powered by the Void Crystal, crafted with both drops and enchanted components.
Where to find the depleted crystal:
- Complete the Mage Quarter zone in Stormwind’s vision.
- Open Umbric’s Chest to find the Depleted Void Crystal.
Crafted materials (Rank 3):
- 1x Convincingly Realistic Jumper Cables – Engineering.
- 1x Refulgent Crystal – Enchanting.
Combine to make the Pulsing Void Crystal, then install it into the mount.
Part 5: Boarhide Deathcycle Seat
This part enhances the visual design and comfort of the Deathcycle.
Where to find the boarhide:
- Complete the Valley of Honor area in the Horrific Vision of Orgrimmar.
- Open Rexxar’s Chest to obtain the Void-Scarred Boarhide.
Crafted materials (Rank 3):
- 5x Weavercloth Spellthread – Tailoring item or purchasable.
Combine and install the Boarhide Deathcycle Seat at Dornogal.
Part 6: Voidflame Wheels (x2)
The wheels require two full sets of materials since one is obtained from Stormwind and the other from Orgrimmar.
Required drops (1 per wheel):
- Voidflame-Resistant Hide:
- One from Dwarven District (Stormwind).
- One from Valley of Spirits (Orgrimmar).
- Tentacle Spokes:
- One from Trade District (Stormwind).
- One from The Drag (Orgrimmar).
Crafted materials (Rank 3):
- 12x Entropy Enhancer – Engineering item; needed for both wheels.
After collecting all drops and crafting the wheels, install both on the frame.
Final Assembly and Completion
Once all six parts are successfully installed into the frame at Dornogal, you will be rewarded with the Voidfire Deathcycle, also known as the Felreaver Deathcycle.
This purple-themed motorcycle mount is added directly to your collection. While it’s not the fastest to acquire, the journey through Horrific Visions and crafting professions makes it a satisfying addition for any mount hunter.
Additional Tips for New Players
- All crafted materials must be Rank 3 quality (except the Irresistible Red Button, which can be any rank).
- The Red Button is Bind on Pickup and requires Engineering. Use the Crafting Order system to commission it.
- You must run both Stormwind and Orgrimmar Visions, and the two rotate weekly. Expect to need at least two weekly resets to complete everything.
- You can also buy most materials from the Auction House, or even skip Visions entirely if you choose to spend gold instead.
- Estimated cost for buying everything is 10,000–20,000 gold, depending on your realm.
