Fortnitemares 2025 has brought the Scooby-Doo gang to Fortnite, and one of the first mysteries you’ll tackle is helping Daphne Blake recover her stolen luggage. This limited-time quest rewards 10,000 XP and ties directly into the Mystery Inc. storyline introduced this season.
How to Start Daphne’s Quest in Fortnite
You can begin the “Help Daphne” quest by talking to Daphne at Viney Shafts, the reworked version of Shiny Shafts on the western side of the island.
When you land, look for the northern section of Viney Shafts, near the first “S” in the word “Shafts” on your map.
Daphne is easy to spot — she’s standing beside a large investigation board, deep in thought.
Approach her and select “Need help?” from the dialogue wheel. This will trigger her secret Found Quest, starting a four-minute timer to locate her stolen luggage before time runs out. If you fail to reach it in time, you’ll need to restart the challenge.
Where to Find Daphne’s Lost Luggage
Once the quest begins, head southwest from Viney Shafts toward a cliff overlooking the area, positioned north of Outlaw Oasis. You’ll notice a quest marker on your map showing the exact location, making it easier to navigate even mid-battle.
At the top of this cliff sits Mothman’s campsite, complete with an RV, a campfire, and a suspicious pile of luggage beside it.
Approach the bags to trigger the “Find Daphne’s Luggage” quest completion step. There’s no need to pick them up manually — proximity alone completes this part.
Interrogating the Thief: Mothman
After locating the luggage, interact with Mothman, who’s standing nearby. Choose the “Interrogate” dialogue option when prompted.
During the conversation, Mothman admits that he took Daphne’s luggage not out of malice, but because he wanted to experience solving a mystery rather than being the mystery himself. Once the interrogation ends, the quest wraps up automatically — you don’t have to return to Daphne.

Completing this step grants 10,000 XP, and Daphne will call to thank you for recovering her belongings.
Pro Tips for Finding Daphne’s Luggage
To finish the quest efficiently, follow these tips:
- Start immediately after landing at Viney Shafts — the timer gives you just four minutes.
- Grab mobility items like Grapplers, Launch Pads, or vehicles for a quicker climb to Mothman’s cliff.
- Watch for other players, since the Fortnitemares event areas can be hotspots for ambushes.
- You don’t need to return to Daphne after talking to Mothman — the XP is awarded automatically.

After recovering Daphne’s luggage, you’ll earn 10,000 XP toward your Battle Pass and unlock progress in the Scooby-Doo Found Questline. Completing all Mystery Inc. missions will unlock additional Fortnitemares rewards, including themed cosmetics and XP bonuses.
