The Admin War Update doesn’t just bring cosmetics and quests—it introduces eight (8) powerful new pets that can reshape how you manage your garden. These companions aren’t just for show; their abilities affect harvests, trigger rare mutations, and even interact with other pets’ cooldowns. For players aiming at profit, mutation farming, or progression, these pets are game-changers.

How to Unlock the New Pets
There are three main ways to unlock pets in this update:
- Skyroot Chests – Buy them for 1,500,000 Sheckles at Goliat’s Friendship Shop, or craft them using 1 Beanstalk, 2 Seed Packs, 1 Sprout Egg, and Sheckles at the crafting station. To access this area, you’ll need to grow a Beanstalk to the top and unlock Goliat by raising his Friendship level.
- Friendship Shop – The shop also stocks exclusive pets such as the Gnome.
- Admin War Event – Several rare pets, including Lemon Lion, Apple Gazelle, Peach Wasp, and Green Bean, were granted during the special event.

Complete List of New Pets and Abilities
Pet | How to Obtain | Traits & Abilities |
---|---|---|
Elk | Skyroot Chest | 2.54% chance for berry fruits to remain after collection. |
Mandrake | Skyroot Chest | Harvesting Mandrake crops has a 3.57% chance to apply the Rot mutation to a random fruit. |
Gnome | Friendship Shop | Every 9.57 minutes, has a 1.05% chance to mutate a random fruit with Gnomed mutation. This chance increases by 1.05% for every Gnome cosmetic in your garden. |
Griffin | Skyroot Chest | Every 15 minutes, creates a Cyclone. Pets struck advance their cooldowns by 60s, while fruits struck have a 10% chance to gain the Cyclonic mutation. |
Lemon Lion | Admin War Event | Brain-Roar: Applies Brainrot mutation to a random fruit every 5 minutes. Citrus Roar: Grants 1,500 bonus XP to a random pet every 10 minutes. |
Apple Gazelle | Admin War Event | Apple fruits have a 4–7% chance to duplicate when collected. Harvesting Sugar Apple crops has a 2–4% chance to apply the Warped mutation. |
Peach Wasp | Admin War Event | Every 24–25 minutes, flies to a fruit and applies the Plasma mutation. Every 10 minutes, stings a pet, reducing its cooldown by 60–120s. |
Green Bean | Admin War Event | Every ~30 minutes, sacrifices a Beanstalk fruit to instantly grow a random plant with a 5.13× fruit size bonus. This ability cannot be mimicked or refreshed. |
Bonus: The update also added the Giant Bean (Pet Shard). While not a pet itself, it can be crafted or purchased from Goliat. Applying it reskins a pet, increases hunger rate by 15%, and grants +0.07 XP per second for every Beanstalk you have planted.
Best Pets to Prioritize
- Griffin – Great for generating Cyclonic fruits, which sell for huge profits, and for advancing other pets’ cooldowns to accelerate rotations. Pair with high-value crops like Romanesco or Elder Strawberry.
- Gnome – Excellent if you own multiple Gnome cosmetics, as it greatly increases your chances of producing the profitable Gnomed mutation.
- Mandrake – Provides steady access to the Rot mutation, especially useful when farming Mandrake crops in bulk.
- Apple Gazelle – A must-have for orchard players, boosting apple harvests while adding Warped mutations to Sugar Apples.
The Admin War Event (August 23, 2025)
The event kicked off with DJ Jhai’s lightshow before Sammy, from Steal a Brainrot, invaded Grow a Garden with waves of brainrot characters. Jandel fought back using a Blackhole event, and with the help of the Green Bean army, Sammy was banished from the island.
Players active during the finale received Peach Wasp, Apple Gazelle, Lemon Lion, and Green Bean as event-exclusive pets. Those wearing the full Green Bean outfit from the Elder Bean also earned a Gold Beanstalk Seed, which Jandel later distributed multiple times. To top it off, a surprise Chicken Zombie reward was given out after the event.
Tips and Synergies
- Pair Griffin with other high-cooldown pets, as its Cyclone can reduce their wait times.
- Place multiple Gnome cosmetics to increase the Gnome pet’s mutation chance.
- Keep extra Beanstalk fruits available if you’re using the Green Bean pet, since it sacrifices them for powerful growth bonuses.
More Additions in the Update
Alongside pets, the Admin War Update also introduced new seeds such as Crown of Thorn, Glowpot, Flare Melon, Cyclamen, Kala Lily, and Willowberry. These plants range from quick-growing to long-timers (Willowberry takes 10 hours), with some fruits selling for hundreds of thousands of Sheckles. Most are obtained from Skyroot Chests, while Willowberry is crafted at Goliat’s station.
