How to Get and Claim Minecraft Twitch Cape (Purple Heart Cape)

Minecraft, our beloved sandbox video game, is celebrating its 15th anniversary with a bang! As part of the celebration, Minecraft is releasing three (3) unique capes: Minecraft Twitch cape, TikTok cape, and a general anniversary cape. These capes, typically reserved for significant events or memorable community moments.

• The purple heart cape can be acquired by watching a Minecraft Twitch stream that has drops enabled for 30 minutes.
• The TikTok cape requires you to watch live TikTok streams of the game and engage in the comments.

These Twitch and TikTok capes are only for the Bedrock Edition of the game. This is probably because these capes are items you can create in the game, just like the ones you get every month with the Minecraft Marketplace Pass. So, if you’re a Java player, you’ll have to sit this one out – only the general cape is available for you.

How you can claim Minecraft Twitch Cape:

Step 1: Create a Twitch Account

To claim the Minecraft Twitch cape, you’ll first need to set up a Twitch account if you don’t already have one. The cape will be available in the Twitch Drops program section.

Step 2: Find a Stream with Twitch Drops Enabled

Once you’ve set up your Twitch account, click on your profile picture in the top right corner of the screen to go to the “Drops & Rewards” section. Navigate to Profile > Drops & Rewards > All Campaigns > Minecraft 15th Anniversary.

When you click on a “Minecraft 15th Anniversary Drop”, you’ll see a summary, Rewards (Purple Heart Cape), and details on How to Earn the Reward on the screen.

Step 3: Claim Your Cape

To claim your reward, you need to watch 15 minutes of a participating channel when the streamer is live and streaming within the Minecraft category.

Once you have accumulated the required watch time, you’ll be notified about the completed drop in the inventory section. You’ll then be given a code, which you should input on the official Minecraft redemption page to get your cape.

The 15th Anniversary Twitch Drop Campaign

The Minecraft 15th Anniversary Twitch drop campaign will run from May 15 to June 1. During this time, you can support a streamer who has Minecraft drops enabled by subscribing to get the Glitch Mask item and watching them for 15 minutes to get the Purple Heart cape. Both of these items are only available for the Bedrock Edition.

Minecraft’s 15th anniversary brings a unique opportunity for players to acquire special capes through Twitch and TikTok streams. The process of obtaining these capes is simple and engaging, encouraging players to participate in the community and celebrate this milestone.

However, it’s important to note that these capes are exclusive to the Bedrock Edition of the game. Java players, while unable to obtain the Twitch and TikTok capes, can still partake in the celebration with the general anniversary cape.
