Choosing the right Race in The Forge shapes everything you do—how fast you move through caves, how efficiently you mine, and how well you survive tougher encounters. Your first roll happens automatically during character creation, but the game gives you freedom to change your Race later through a dedicated reroll system.
Where to Reroll Your Race in The Forge
After your initial roll with Sensei Moro, you can’t return to him for more spins. All future rerolls happen through the Wizard, an NPC located away from the spawn area.

Here’s the route to reach the reroll location:
- From the main spawn, walk past Sensei Moro and the forging anvil.
- Head toward The Cave but do not enter.
- Turn left at Greedy Cey, the shop NPC.
- Follow the hill path until you see a building with a tall tower behind it.
- Enter the building to meet the Wizard.
- Select the dialogue option “I want to change my race!”.
This opens the full Race Menu, where you can preview all available Races, see your current traits, and spend spins to reroll.
How the Race Menu Works
The reroll screen presents three major components:
1. Your Character Preview
Shows your current Race, appearance changes, and any unique perks tied to it.
2. Race Stats Panel
Displays bonuses and drawbacks associated with the Race you currently have. Some may boost stamina, others may improve luck or mining ability.
3. Race Chances Panel
Lists all possible Races and their exact probability of being rolled, from common picks like Human to ultra-rare options like Angel or Demon.
Press the Reroll button below your character to spin again, as long as you have remaining Spins.
How to Reroll Using the Shop Menu

If you don’t want to walk to the Wizard every time, you can open the Race Menu directly:
- Press T to open your Bag.
- Switch to the Shop tab.
- Scroll to the Rerolls slab.
- Select Go to Race Menu.
- Hit Reroll.
This method brings up the same Race Menu used by the Wizard.
How to Get More Race Rerolls
You start the game with three free Spins, but one is consumed during character creation. After that, extra rerolls come from a few sources:
• Use Robux
You can buy additional spins for 75 Robux per reroll.
• Redeem Codes
Developers regularly release codes that grant free Spins. Check our page for active The Forge Codes.
• Progress Through Quests
Certain quests award extra Rerolls as you advance, especially as you push deeper into the early game.
All of these methods help you gather the spins you need to chase higher-tier Races.
Should You Reroll?
Rerolling is all about risk versus reward. High-rarity Races offer stronger perks, but you might replace a decent Race with something weaker if you gamble recklessly.
It also becomes easier to manage Races as you level up:
- Level 30 unlocks a second Race slot
- Level 100 unlocks a third Race slot
These extra slots let you keep a great Race safe while rolling for upgrades.
All Race Odds in The Forge
Here are the official odds for every Race you can roll:
| Race | Chance |
|---|---|
| Human | 25% |
| Elf | 15% |
| Zombie | 14% |
| Goblin | 10.5% |
| Undead | 9% |
| Orc | 8% |
| Dwarf | 7% |
| Shadow | 6% |
| Minotaur | 1.75% |
| Dragonborn | 1.5% |
| Golem | 1.25% |
| Angel | 0.5% |
| Demon | 0.5% |
These percentages determine how often each Race appears, with the rarest picks offering some of the strongest overall stat packages.
