Lava has announced the launch of its first 5G smartphone- Lava Yuva 5G, in the Yuva series on May 30. The announcement was made via a tweet from the company’s official Twitter account.

The Yuva 5G is powered by the Unisoc T750 chipset, a 6nm chipset that boasts two Cortex-A76 cores running at 2.0GHz and six A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. This is complemented by a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The chipset is similar to the Dimensity 6100+, though the CPU and GPU operate at lower clock speeds.

The teaser reveals that the Yuva 5G features a 50MP AI rear camera and an 8MP front camera housed inside a punch hole.

This launch marks a significant step for Lava in the 5G smartphone market, as the Yuva 5G will be the first 5G smartphone in the Lava Yuva series. The company previously launched 5G models in the Agni, Blaze, and Storm series, such as Lava Agni 2 5G, Lava Blaze Curve 5G and Lava Storm 5G, all powered by various Dimensity chips.

The Yuva 5G is set to launch on May 30. Although the price has not yet been revealed, it is speculated to be around Rs 12,000. The device is expected to sport a 5,000mAh battery and offer either 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM.

The most recent addition to the Yuva series is the Yuva 3, a 4G device powered by the Unisoc T606 chip. The latest 5G phone from Lava is the Lava Storm 5G, priced at ₹11,999.
