How to Reach the Whispering Vaults
The Whispering Vaults become accessible right after finishing the Cogwork Core.
From the Cogwork Core Bench, head to the right-hand ledge of the central shaft — the one you might’ve skipped earlier.
Drop carefully past the moving saws, defeat the Cogwork Defender on the middle platform, and strike the wheel at the end to open the gate.
Moving forward leads you into a new area drenched in echoing choral sounds and dim lighting — this is the entrance to the Whispering Vaults, one of Pharloom’s most atmospheric zones.
Exploring the Vaults
Immediately upon entry, you’ll find a tall shaft leading downward. Descend carefully, avoiding steam vents, and enter the chamber to your right.

Collecting the Psalm Cylinder
Head right and upward through a side passage with faint music in the background. At the upper ledge, you’ll locate the Psalm Cylinder, a key item that later unlocks the “Voices of the Choir” when given to Vaultkeeper Cardinius (an NPC who appears here after you progress further in the story).
Grab the Psalm Cylinder, then return to the main shaft and drop down again to explore the lower chambers.
The Bell Memory Puzzle
Eventually, you’ll reach a large open chamber with rails and moveable blocks. Manipulate the blocks to create a path forward — hitting them from different sides shifts their positions, opening new routes and granting access to collectibles like Rosaries.
