Tiny Mushrooms are one of the earliest treasures players will encounter in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. As you explore Lumiose City and its surrounding Wild Zones, you’ll often spot small golden sparkles on the ground. Picking these up may reward you with items like Pearls or Pretty Feathers—but more often than not, you’ll find Tiny Mushrooms. Despite their abundance, their purpose isn’t immediately obvious, leaving many players wondering what to do with them.

What Are Tiny Mushrooms?
Tiny Mushrooms are classified as Treasures, a special type of item in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Their description reads:
“A small and rare mushroom. It’s quite popular with a certain class of collectors.”
In other words, these items are not meant for battle, crafting, or use on Pokémon. They don’t boost stats, can’t be used in cooking, and aren’t components for any recipes. Instead, they serve a simple but important function: they’re designed to be sold for money.
How to Use Tiny Mushrooms
You can sell Tiny Mushrooms at any Pokémon Center across Lumiose City.
Here’s how to do it:
- Approach the Pokémon Center nurse and select the option “I’d like to do some shopping.”
- Choose “I’d like to sell” from the menu.
- Open your Treasures tab—that’s where Tiny Mushrooms are stored.
- Sell them for ₽250 each.
While ₽250 may not sound impressive, Tiny Mushrooms appear frequently during exploration. Over time, they stack up quickly in your satchel, allowing you to make a decent profit from selling them in bulk.
Where to Find Tiny Mushrooms
You’ll come across Tiny Mushrooms by exploring golden sparkling spots on the ground throughout Lumiose City and the Wild Zones. These sparkling patches indicate hidden collectible items. Walking over them automatically collects the item—no interaction button required.
Since they’re among the most common treasures, you’ll likely collect dozens during regular play. Be sure to check roofs and alleyways as well—Lumiose’s vertical design hides plenty of sparkling spots in less obvious locations.
Are Tiny Mushrooms Used for Anything Else?
In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Tiny Mushrooms currently have no alternate use beyond selling.
Unlike older Pokémon games—such as FireRed and LeafGreen, where two Tiny Mushrooms could be traded to the Move Reminder to relearn moves—there’s no equivalent exchange or trade system in Z-A. No NPCs have been found offering trades for them either.
Their function is purely economic, intended to help you earn extra Pokédollars early in your adventure when funds are tight.
Other Treasures Worth Selling
Tiny Mushrooms are just one of several sellable treasures in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Other examples include:
- Pretty Feathers – Sell for more than Tiny Mushrooms.
- Pearls and Big Pearls – Found less frequently but offer a much higher payout.
Because treasures serve no other purpose, it’s best to sell them regularly to clear your inventory space and keep your Pokédollar reserves healthy. You’ll need plenty of money later for clothes, Poké Balls, and battle items.
