How to Get Titanium Ingots in Subnautica 2

Titanium ingots are one of the first major crafting hurdles in Subnautica 2. Raw titanium works fine early on, but advanced blueprints like the Sonic Resonator and Bioreactor demand processed ingots. The problem is that turning ore into ingots is not as simple as opening a fabricator menu. You need a dedicated machine called the Processor, and that machine requires its own blueprint hunt before you can build one.

This guide covers everything you need to know: where to find the Processor blueprint, how to build and power it, and how to craft titanium ingots once it is running.

How to Find the Processor Blueprint in Subnautica 2

You cannot build a Processor without its blueprint. To get it, you need to scan a broken Processor somewhere out in the ocean. There are two main locations where you can find one.

First Location: Cicada Wreck (Recommended)

This is the closest option and the one most players will reach first. The broken Processor sits inside a large chunk of the Cicada shipwreck, roughly 265 to 275 meters southwest of the Lifepod.

Here is how to get there:

  1. Start at Wander’s Blackbox, where you likely found the Sonic Resonator blueprint.
  2. Travel east from the coral dome above Wander’s Blackbox.
  3. Watch for the seafloor to drop away sharply.
  4. Look to your left. You will see an abandoned base you can use to refill your oxygen.
  5. The Cicada wreckage sits just across from that base.
  6. Head inside and move toward the back of the room.
  7. Scan the Processor to unlock the blueprint.

Tip: Before you set out, open your character menu and enable all landmark signals. This makes it much easier to spot the wreck and the nearby base.

While you are inside the wreck, you will also find several other useful things to scan, including a blueprint for a high-capacity air tank.

Second Location: Abandoned Habitat Near the Alien Ruins

A second broken Processor exists far to the east of the Lifepod, past the Tadpole Pens and a stretch of deep, dangerous ocean. Unless you ignored the main objectives and swam east from the start, you will almost certainly find the Cicada Wreck version first. The Alien Ruins location is a fallback if you happen to be exploring that region already.

How to Build the Processor in Subnautica 2

With the blueprint scanned, you can now construct a Processor. The materials are fairly cheap, and you may already have most of them.

Processor Crafting Requirements

MaterialQuantityHow to Get
Raw Titanium Ore2Mine from titanium ore deposits on the seabed
Mild Acid1Craft in the Fabricator using 2x Acidic Raion Pouch
Copper Wire1Craft in the Fabricator using 2x raw Copper Ore

A few important notes before you start building:

  • You cannot build the Processor at a Fabricator. It is a large machine that requires a Habitat Builder.
  • You must place the Processor inside a room in your base. Build a base first if you have not already. This means having at least one room via the Habitat Builder before construction can begin.

How to Power the Processor

The Processor does not work the moment you place it. It needs a steady power supply. During operation, it draws 10 energy units per second, which is a significant demand.

The best way to power it is with Solar Panels mounted on the outside of your base. A single Solar Panel provides between 1 and 8 energy units per second depending on your depth and how much sunlight reaches it. That means you need at least two Solar Panels, and more if your base sits deep in the water.

Keep these points in mind:

  • Solar Panels are not unlocked by default. Find and scan a broken Solar Panel out in the ocean to get the blueprint.
  • Each Solar Panel costs 1x raw Titanium Ore and 2x raw Quartz Ore to build.
  • A Battery inside the base works as an alternative power source, but Solar Panels are far more practical for sustained operation.

How to Craft Titanium Ingots in Subnautica 2

Once your Processor is built and your base has enough power, you are ready to start processing ore.

Step-by-Step: Using the Processor

  1. Approach the left side of the Processor and interact with the panel.
  2. Select Change Recipe and choose Titanium Ingot from the list.
  3. The Processor will automatically draw the required materials from your storage.
  4. Wait 30 seconds for the machine to complete the ingot.
  5. Move to the right side of the Processor and collect your finished ingot.

Titanium Ingot Recipe

InputOutput
3x Raw Titanium Ore1x Titanium Ingot

One ingot per 30 seconds is the baseline. If you are building a base and stockpiling ingots for advanced blueprints, start a batch running before you go off exploring. Keep a chest or storage locker stocked with raw titanium nearby so you can reload the machine quickly.

All Ingot Recipes in Subnautica 2

The Processor handles more than just titanium. As you discover new resources, additional ingot recipes become available. Here is a complete list of every ingot the Processor can make:

IngotRequired Materials
Titanium Ingot3x Titanium
Copper Ingot3x Copper
Silver Ingot3x Silver
Gold Ingot3x Gold
Germanium Ingot2x Silver + 2x Lead
Plasteel Ingot2x Titanium + 1x Lithium
Mangalloy Ingot1x Titanium Ingot + 1x Atacamite + 1x Troilite

Note that Mangalloy Ingot is the only recipe that requires a finished ingot as an input rather than raw ore.

Pro Tip: Collect all raw materials before you start a processing session. The Processor draws from your storage automatically, but you need the materials in your inventory or nearby storage first. Running out mid-batch wastes time.

What to Do With Titanium Ingots

Once you have a steady supply of ingots, several important crafting options open up:

  • Sonic Resonator requires ingots and is essential for opening blocked passages and progressing the story.
  • Bioreactor requires both titanium ingots and copper ingots. It powers your base using organic material like fiber pulp and small fish, which makes nighttime power far less of a concern.
  • Advanced base modules throughout the game demand ingots rather than raw ore.

Keep raw titanium stocked at all times. It is easy to burn through your supply quickly when you are building a base and crafting equipment simultaneously. Play Now!
