How to Find Your PC Specs
How to Check Your CPU
- Press Win + R, type
msinfo32, and press Enter - System Information opens
- Look at the Processor line — it shows your full CPU name and generation
For Intel chips, the generation is the first two digits after the “i3/i5/i7/i9” label. For example, Core i7-10700 = 10th Gen. Core i5-8250U = 8th Gen.
How to Check RAM and Storage
RAM:
- Press Win + R, type
msinfo32, press Enter - Look for Installed Physical Memory (RAM)
Storage:
- Open File Explorer
- Click This PC
- Check the total size shown under your main drive (usually C:)
How to Check TPM 2.0
- Press Win + R, type
tpm.msc, and press Enter - The TPM Management console opens
- If it shows TPM is ready to use and lists Specification Version: 2.0, your PC has TPM 2.0
- If the console shows an error or no TPM found, check your BIOS/UEFI settings. Many PCs have TPM disabled by default and you can enable it there
What Your Result Means
Compatible: Your PC meets all the minimum requirements for Windows 11 26H2. Microsoft will deliver the update as a small enablement package, roughly 174 KB if you are already on 24H2 or 25H2. The install takes about two minutes and needs one restart.
Copilot+ Eligible: Your PC exceeds the standard requirements and qualifies for Copilot+ status. This unlocks AI-powered features that need a 40+ TOPS NPU, 16 GB RAM, and 256 GB SSD alongside a qualifying Snapdragon X, Ryzen AI 300, or Core Ultra 200V processor.
Not Compatible: Your PC does not meet one or more of the minimum requirements. The most common blockers are an unsupported CPU generation, missing TPM 2.0, or insufficient RAM or storage. If the only issue is TPM 2.0, check your BIOS first, as it is often just disabled rather than absent.
What to Do Once You Confirm Compatibility
If your PC is compatible and you want to get 26H2 before the official Fall 2026 rollout:
- Download the Windows 11 26H2 ISO file using UUP Dump to grab the preview build directly from Microsoft
- Install Windows 11 26H2 early using the step-by-step guide before the public release
- Create a bootable USB drive with Rufus if you plan a clean install from the ISO
Enter your CPU, RAM, storage, and TPM status into the checker above for an instant Windows 11 26H2 compatibility result. If your PC already runs Windows 11 24H2 or 25H2, it qualifies for 26H2 with no hardware changes. The official rollout targets Fall 2026, but you can install it early right now through the Windows Insider Program.
